  • Can I apply for a credit card online right after I’ve been declined from another?

I just applied for an american express online and I was declined. I was thinking I’d apply for citi card right away. With the american express declined seconds ago, will this affect their decision in approving me the credit card?

You can but every time you apply for credit your credit report gets hit by the new company. This will have an adverse effect on your credit rating if it happens often enough.

do not! wait until you find out why amer. ex. declined you..you will get a letter. more companies that go into your credit AND they turn you down, it makes your credit score drop a lot. Wait..best thing to do is order your fico score NOW on myfico.com…buy all 3 credit scores/reports and see why you got turned down. you should always do that first before applying for anything!!!!
