If I apply and am approved do I then have no choice? Like will I be committed to taking/having the credit card?

Call the company and find out.

No you can at any time send the card back to the company or simply destroy it and notify them you no longer need credit from them.

They may send you the card. But, it not mean you have to use it. Cut it up, throw it away and call them to cancel.

No, when you receive the card do not activate it. Call the 800 # and tell them to cancel the card. Unfortunately, the hit is already on your credit report that you applied for credit.

if you change you mind just cut up the card and call them. you have no commitment to use it, just to pay it if you do.

    • DARWIN

yes, but it doesn’t mean you have to use it and since you haven’t used it yet or rec’d it yet you can cancel immediately

If you get approved for a credit card, you will receive it in the mail. There is a sticker with a number you have to call in order to get it activated. It is totally up to you whether you would like to do that or not.No obligations.

If the credit card you receive has been approved for use by you, then you can immediately use it. If you don’t want it activated, you will have to contact the credit card company immediately. A word of advice: I would call the credit card company and tell them that it was lost. Keep a journal of what date and time you did this and whom you spoke with. This will “definitely” stop the credit card for good. Peace, Love and God Bless.
