  • I would like to take credit card deposits online for a house that I rent out?

It’s a scrapbooking house, and I’d like people to be able to put the deposit down online at the time they book with a credit card. I am looking for an online solution, possibly something involving PayPal. I’d like as little work on my end as possible, just something that credits and debits an account that I can work from…Anyone have any suggestions of good online companies that might work?

If you want to use PayPal, you must contact them and ask them how to set up an account, and how to set up to accept paypal payments.

If you wish to accept credit card payments, first you have to contact the credit card companies and make arrangements with THEM. They have a “floor rate” which is a % they keep of what they collect for you.

Go search on the web for “Merchant Payment Processing”. You’ll find tons of sites that do this and you can research and compare to find the one that suits your needs.
