Most cost effective online credit card merchant?
Posted on January 22nd, 2009 4 commentspositivek9 asked:
I will be opening an online store and my head is swimming from all the different options out there! I need to be able to accept credit cards (both online and offline). I’m looking for the most cost effective company with low monthly fee and low per transaction fees.
Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?
I’m located in Virginia and have a business license. I’m also set up for State Retail Taxes.

Most GOOD merchant services companies will want to be able to either visit your place of business to verify that it is a legitimate business or at least get some sales collateral that shows that your legit.
That said, I am an Independent Sales agent for NPC. If you want, I could see if I could work something out with you, provided that you’re close to NY.

As I mentioned, most GOOD (honest) merchant services companies would want to verify your business so as there isn’t an exorbitant amount of chargebacks and such. I would suggest contacting NPC and trying to get a hold of a local representative.
I hope that helps.
